In a market where lawn care equipment is in high demand and low supply, James River Equipment in Tappahannock more than delivered. Specifically, Brad Hall, the Sales Rep went over and beyond any expectation. I was looking for a 300 series Lawn Tractor on short notice, and called around to several John Deere locations and was greeted with, "none on hand," "we have a shipment coming in the next few weeks," etc. However, Brad took it upon himself to check inventories across the state and found the Lawn tractor I was looking for on the Virginia/North Carolina State Line. He orchestrated a move from there to here and within 3 days I was able to take delivery. Outstanding customer service and a willingness to go beyond what is expected. I can't wait to give James River Equipment, and especially Brad, future business.

I called this John Deere location; known as "James River Equipment" around 4:30 after getting off work and told them I was looking for a tube to go in my lawnmower tire. Spoke with Bill in parts and provided him with my mower model and tire parameters so he could look up the appropriate tube in their system. Bill was very professional, courteous, informative, and helpful with getting me the correct tube. I was running a bit behind getting to their location before they closed at 5:30 so I called back up to the store and asked if I arrived about 5:35-5:40 would anyone still be there so I could pick the item up. Bill went above and beyond and said he'd still be there waiting for me to arrive and asked what I was driving so he could keep an eye out for me to arrive. First of all the atmosphere is great. All of the counter men were very courteous and helpful. This John Deere dealer on route 10 provides much better customer service than it's cousin in Ashland! It happens all the time when calling the Ashland location and asking for the parts counter and the phone will ring and ring with no answer. I finally called the route 10 location and the parts counter promptly answered their extension and had the part I needed. The route 10 location isn't as convenient for me as the Ashland location, but I will make the trip there in the future to get my parts. Thanks guys!

I had the absolute pleasure in workin with Ms. McKayla Washington at the Ashland, Va. location yesterday.
I had searched for weeks within a 150 mile radius of me for a particular tractor set up and the finally had one ! McKayla called me back in a very short 20-30 min callback after I had left a message and I ask her to hold it for me until I could get there (2 hour drive).
When I got to the store she was with another customer but promptly told me she would be with me as soon as she was done. Needless to say I had no problem browsing through my big green adult toy store!
McKayla came and got me as soon as we were done showed me all the equipment I had been asking for and even helped me play a game of Tetris in figuring out how to get it all on the trailer and truck in one trip.
We sat down did all the paperwork she was patient, very cordial and overall just a bright and welcoming friend in a manner. Like someone you'd known for awhile and can keep ya entertained during the wait.

I purchased an x580 lawn tractor from JRE and I'm actually looking forward to the next time I get to cut my grass. I took my 636M mower in at closing on a Wednesday evening. It was leaking fluid near one of the back wheels. I also requested that the oil be changed, sharpen the blades and check the air filter. I have a small lawn service with about 40 clients and this is my only true commercial mower. I called Thursday afternoon and was told a part was in order. Called again Friday morning and the part had arrived. It was ready early that afternoon. I was able to finish my lawns on Friday with ease. Great service with a quick turnaround.
